| National
Surf Series are back.
The old surf series ranked
circuit is back on the El Salvador surf scene. Red Bull will be
the flag sponsor for a new series of five contest to be held this
year, complete with ratings to comform a national surf team at the
end of the year. Pacific Surf and Sportīs own Francisco Hasbun
will join the members of the organizing committe to assist them as
contest director for these events.
April 12-13, May, Aug,
Oct, and Nov, will be when the five contests are held, followed by
a big ranking party in Dec. in a Club to award the best surfers in
the country. Prizemoney and surfboards will be among the items to
win by the higest ranking surfers in each division.
The formats will include
4-man and two man heats as well as a five judging panel, womens
division will be introduced and an open division for
foreignres to participate. You might win something while on vacation
why not? |

Perla "Mini Mouse" is back from Costa Rica with a
degree in Marketing design and is working at El Diario de Hoy.
Diego Llerena "White Dog" is also back and working
at a Marketing Agency. Oscar Amaya also known as Pupa, our prime ding repair man moved to LA with wife Celia,
is doing really well working as a contractor doing really
fancy kitchens and bathrooms in tile and marble rock and stuff

Devils Bar is building a pretty cozy house at Sunzal behing
the Tortuga Lodge, and will also be setting a website of his

- Jimmy Rotherhamīs second
child is due pretty soon, and will be joining them at
their home in Melrose place, our salutes to him.
- Federico Batle will
be joining his life together with girlfriend Chinita Rank in
March, we wish them the best and wish the party to be so
too.
- If you have never tried

them out on top of La Dolce Vita this season.

| The
creation of the El Salvador Surf Club was announced this past
March. Following they came up with the new 2003 surf circuit
to create a whole ranking system in the country. |
The
first event of the 2003 surf circuit proceeded with success,
having great waves and a very tasty bikini contest followed by
a rock concert. Congrats to Jimmy who won the open division
taking a brand new board home. |
The
next dates will be at El Zonte, Cuco, La Paz in La Libertad,
and Sunzal. |
